With over 20 years of experience in the entertainment and media industry, Joel Churcher is currently the Vice President of Marketing & Partnerships at BritBox North America – the digital video subscription service created by BBC Studios and ITV. Serving as the central point of coordination and communication between BritBox departments and marketing stakeholders, Joel leads the cross-departmental marketing strategy briefing process for all campaigns including definition of the overarching strategy, creative tone/messaging, desired KPIs, and deliverables. Joel is also responsible for managing all sponsorship and brand partnership opportunities.
Prior to starting his role as VP of Marketing & Partnerships, Joel was Vice President & African territory Manager, establishing a new African office and local team where he was responsible for strategy, business development and all commercial activities across BBC Studios businesses in the Africa region. This included television, digital & format sales, ad sales, commissioning local productions, live events and the daily management of 5x BBC-branded channels in the region.
