Jill Rosengard Hill is a long-time strategist in the cable industry. As Executive Vice President of Magid’s Global Media and Entertainment team, she is responsible for new business development and providing strategic counsel to her clients. Magid is a leading media, communications and entertainment research and strategy firm and Jill oversees the company’s cable and mobile practice. She helps cable operators, wireless carriers and programmers define content and marketing strategies based on consumer insights. Her clients include Comcast, Cox Communications, Charter Communications, Altice, NBCU, TCM, TNT, Adult Swim, and TruTV.
Her expertise includes new product development, OTT and SVOD, customer acquisition and retention, generational insights, customer journey and user experience, and advanced advertising. She joined Magid after spending several years with the Associated Press as its Midwest regional television executive. Jill has an extensive journalism background including launching ChicagoLand Television, a 24-hour news channel and as a reporter and anchor in Dubuque, Iowa and South Bend, Indiana.
Jill currently serves on the advisory board of the New York City-based non-profit Groove With Me which provides free dance classes in East Harlem for girls 5-18 to help them with self-esteem and keep them off the streets. Jill received her Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. She was also a visiting academic at Oxford University, Keble College.
