Julia Zangwill is the director of advisory services for FreeWheel, a Comcast company that provides global technology solutions for the future of television advertising. In this role, she oversees the advisory team’s thought leadership, overseeing the creation and deployment of strategic reports and whitepapers with industry insights and data-driven analytics to help premium publishers and distributors navigate the rapidly evolving premium video ecosystem.
In addition, Julia partners with the advisory team to help grow client relationships across the sell and buy side globally through structured joint business planning and execution. Her areas of expertise include addressability enablement and monetization strategy.
In 2016, Julia first joined FreeWheel as manager of advisory services. She then became senior manager, before her current role as director. She has more than 10 years of experience in digital and linear strategy at industry-leading organizations, focused on growing the ad revenue across platforms.
Prior to FreeWheel, she worked at AMC Networks as director and manager of ad sales business development, where she focused on growing advertising revenue. She also spent several years at Viacom, as audience development producer, digital marketing manager and junior designer.
Julia is a board member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) New York, where she has led a mentoring program for women, called The Mentoring Circle, for the past five years. She is a recipient of the WICT Rising Leader Award and the WICT NY Professional Development Fellowship and is quoted in industry publications such as Media Village.
Julia graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science in media and communications. She also earned her Master of Business Administration in marketing and finance from Fordham University. She resides in New York City with her family.
